Alyeska Resort in Girdwood

Hotel Alyeska is a beautiful ski resort nestled in the mountains in Girdwood, Alaska.. I visited in the off season (October) and there was hardly anyone there. It was glorious, peaceful and so beautiful. They literally rolled out the red carpet.

The Alyeska Aerial Tram takes you 2300 feet up Mt. Alyeska. From the observation deck you can see miles in all directions as well as many of the trails and the ski lift. From up there, the massive hotel looks like a postage stamp.
