Juneau, the capital city of Alaska. There are no roads in, no roads out. It is only accessible by boat or plane.

At the Port of Juneau, we decided to take a whale watching excursion with Harv and Marv Outback Adventure. We had a blast! Make sure you check out the video and photos at the bottom of the page to see an up-close-and-personal encounter with a whale named Flame. This video was provided by a fellow passenger.  We were unable to capture this amazing encounter.
Harv and Marv guaranteed a whale sighting and they didn't disappoint!!! We also saw sea otters, sea lions, and eagles on our trip.

So I was on the lower back of the boat snapping photos and this whale was so close I could have touched her. Meanwhile, my friend was on the upper deck trying to shoot video, but she hit the record button twice and in her excitement, missed the whole thing! Fortunately, a man named Scott emailed his video to her and we were able to capture the moment. It is hard to tell from the video just how close this whale was, but she came right up to our boat and literally swam under it. If I would have reached out, I could have felt her swim by. It was so cool!
